About Us and the Dog Bakery that Started it All
Paw Pleasers started over 30 years ago as one of San Diego’s first pet sitting businesses. We began baking cookies and leaving them for our four-legged clients, and the dog bakery & cat bakery was born! Our first storefront was in the heart of Hillcrest and were there for seven years. Although we loved our previous location, when Wells Fargo Bank expanded, we found ourselves looking for a new place to call home. That’s when we fell in love with North Park and have been here ever since!
We specialize in fresh-baked cakes, cookies, & homemade ice cream for your dogs and cats! All of our cakes and cookies are baked and decorated on site in our North Park Bakery. Whether you are having a birthday, a special occasion, or just because, we have fresh-baked treats for pampered pets.
Our cakes are Grain-Free, human-grade, doggie and kitty-safe! The frosting is non-dairy, lactose-free, almost like a doggie/kitty friendly cool whip. It’s actually quite delicious!

In October 2022, we opened our New Chula Vista Location. While it still has all of the same charm and qualities as our North Park Bakery, it also has Self-Wash Tubs. After a long day at the beach or the park, throw the fur-kids in the car and come visit us! The Chula Vista Location is currently CLOSED on Mondays but follow us on Instagram (@PawPleasersCV) for the most updated information.
