What are the cakes made of?

The cakes are made with a grain-free base and are available for both dogs and cats. They are baked with all human ingredients and are doggie/kitty/human friendly!

Can I pick my own flavor?

To keep our recipe as simple as possible to accommodate allergies and special needs, we only offer one flavor.

What do the cakes taste like?

The cakes taste a lot like unsweetened gingerbread. The frosting is non-dairy, lactose-free, and tastes like doggie-friendly Cool Whip.

Do we offer cupcakes?

Our package of 6 cupcakes are very popular and we try to have them available for walk-in purchase. If you need them for a special occasion, we recommend you order a minimum of 7 business days in advance.

What size cake should I order?

It depends on the number of dogs and how you would like the cake personalized. All cakes can be cut up after the party and frozen for up to a month. Our 6" cakes come with one name, up to 8 letters, and feed 4-6 small dogs. Our 9" cakes come with “Happy Birthday” and up to 2 names and feed up to 12 small dogs.

How far in advance should I order my cake?

We encourage you to call us when you begin planning your pet’s special day. Custom and photo cakes may require up to 10 days. The more notice you give us, the more options you will have. When in doubt, please call us! Sometimes we can accommodate a special request on short notice; it never hurts to ask us!

I forgot to order my dog’s birthday cake! Now what?

We will always find a cake for your favorite pooch, even if it’s the same day! We have a limited number of cakes that we decorate every day, so feel free to call us, and we’ll be happy to let you know what’s available.

What color will the writing on the cake be?

Our cakes come with white writing. Writing colors for custom cakes will vary based on the design.

I want to walk in and get a same-day cake. May I choose a different color frosting or add decorations?

Unfortunately, same-day cakes may not be customized, but they can be personalized with your pet’s name (“Happy Birthday” and the name on the 9” cakes).

I’m shopping around for a cake, and other places are lower in price. Do you price match?

We understand that not everyone can afford our cakes, but we must stick with our pricing because we take so much time and care to create the perfect cake for our clients.

What is the ice cream made of?

The ice cream is a lactose-free base made in one-quart batches. We then mix in our “flavors” at the end. It is human-edible and quite tasty!

Do we really make everything at our shop?

Yes!!! And we are the only shop in San Diego with an on-site bakery for dogs and cats!
